Abstract
This new edition of Hart's classic work appends to the original text a postscript comprising Hart's reply to his most persistent and influential critic, Ronald Dworkin. This is a welcome publishing event, as The Concept of Law remains a pillar of general jurisprudence--no less so far the important contributions to interpretive legal theory that have since been made by Dworkin and others.
