Commonwealth colleagues may be interested in comparing the role of the Attorney General's chambers in Hong Kong with that of its counterparts in their own jurisdictions. The purpose of this article is thus to examine in some detail the extensive responsibilities and duties of the Hong Kong Attorney General and other Legal Department personnel.
