Abstract
Gary Becker's famous article on crime generates some controversial reform recommendations for both the substantive and procedural areas of criminal law. In addition to criminal law, Becker's model has implications for tort law and remedies generally. The reaction to Becker's article produced important and long-lasting contributions to legal theory.
