Abstract
The Boston University School of Law’s Program on Reproductive Justice (BUPRJ), Immigrants’ Rights and Human Trafficking Program (IRHTP), and the Racial Justice and Movement Lawyering Clinic (RJMLC) jointly submit this public comment regarding the pending Citizen Petitions, FDA-2025-P-0377-0001; FDA-2025-P-1576-0001; FDA-2025-P-2162-0001; and FDA-2025-P-3287-0001 (“Petitions”). We previously submitted Public Comment FDA-2025-P0377-0242 on October 11, 2025.
We now submit this supplemental comment to provide additional analysis and information in light of new research highlighting the connection between intimate partner violence (IPV) and access to reproductive healthcare. We join the aforementioned petitions insofar as they advise the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to: (1) eliminate the Mifepristone Shared System Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS); or (2) at minimum, refrain from imposing additional restrictions on mifepristone.
